Mike & Wendy Behar

Mike & Wendy Behar

Mike and Wendy Behar could easily be poster children for what NOT to do in marriage. They both have experienced the devastation of an unwanted divorce and all the lies that go along with it. Yet through God's grace and mercy they have experienced redemptions that is beyond their greatest dreams and expectations. They have been married since 1985 and are parents and grandparents. They share practical and biblical principles for experiencing an abundant marriage.

Dr. James and Kimberley Young

Dr. James and Kimberley Young

Dr. James and Kimberley Young met in July of 1978.  Eleven months later they married.  Theirs has not been a picture perfect marriage.  From the onset they were a blended family. James thought that Kim would have been so proud to be married to him, a young man so committed to ministry. Kim believed that, as a minister, James would shower her with all the love that she heard him preach about. Then reality set in.  For twenty years she felt alone while he went about his pastoral duties.  He was frustrated because she didn’t seem to understand the “sacrifice” and “suffering” that successful ministry required. While attending a counselors’ training workshop in 1999, James learned what God meant when He said that “It is not good that the man should be alone…” (Genesis 2:18)

Since that time they have, through searching the Word of God, attending marriage retreats and seminars, and personal experience gained insight into what makes a successful marriage.  They are open and willing to share their experience with others.

Eric & Sue Hobbs

Eric & Sue Hobbs

Both Eric and Sue were born in Ohio in 1946 & 1947 respectively. We met in college at Ohio University and we both received BFA degrees from O.U. before being married in January of 1970. Eric worked for three years at Miami Univ. Of Ohio as a photographer before taking a position as a photographer with the Tampa Tribune in Tampa, FL our plan was to stay in Florida for 2 or 3 years but god had other plans.

In October of 1974 god touched our lives and we have never been the same since. By this time we had 2 boys Nathan & Ethan. In July of the next year god led us to the mission field in Mexico. Over the years he has allowed us to serve full time in missions for 3-1/2 years and to be a part of 30 to 40 short-term missions. We were blessed to serve in our first church for 25 years, 13 years as elders and as elders in our present church since 2001.

We currently live in Tampa, FL; we have 3 children (2 sons & a daughter), 8 grand children and continue to seek his will for our lives. Sue is the prayer coordinator for new hearts ministries which deals with sexually broken people and Eric work at there local church doing maintenance and construction projects. It is our desire to serve the body of Christ until he returns.
